During the global pandemic I decided to use my skills learnt from my year on the fashion design course and start upcycling old clothes and scrap fabrics. I  created a sustainable business called Green Queens.

I created my own branding using my textiles print design from my second year on the textiles design course.
I researched into where I could sustainably source my business cards/packaging cards, stickers and packing products for the best cost. I sourced fabrics when needed from second hand and used old clothing to create unique tops.

I moved onto created bags as I decided it was more efficient for my time and allowed for less fabric waste. As I progressed through my time at university I found that I needed to step back and put all my time into my degree work.

will be returning to upcycling for my business when I have the time to produce sustainable unique products to a high standard. I have options for my products to be stocked in a sustainable and ethical store in my home town.
